Mission Statement:
The mission of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System Department of Counseling and Guidance is to implement an evidence-based comprehensive school counseling program in grades K-12. This will be achieved by promoting student success through a focus on academic achievement, personal/social and career development, student advocacy and emotional development in order to meet the needs of the students and the community of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.

Department of Counseling and Guidance:
The School Counseling Departments in the East Baton Rouge Parish School system provide a nurturing, supportive and safe environment so that all students can achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.

In partnership with students, staff, and community, the Department of Counseling and Guidance fosters development of self-advocacy skills, personal-social-emotional wellness, and academic-career success in a compassionate and supportive environment.
